தமிழ்ப் பொது வேட்பாளர் திரு. பா.அரியநேத்திரன் அவர்களைக் கட்சியிலிருந்து விலக்க முற்படுவது தொடர்பான – கண்டன அறிக்கை!

தமிழ் தேசிய அரசியல் வரலாற்றில், பல தசாப்தப் பாரம்பரியம் கொண்ட மூத்த தமிழ் கட்சிகளில் ஒன்றான, தமிழரசுக் கட்சியின் சமகாலச் செயற்பாடுகள், கட்சியின் வரலாற்றில் என்றுமில்லாதவாறு மோசமடைந்துள்ளது. தமிழரசு கட்சி எந்தத் தனி நபர்களின் சொத்தும் கிடையாது. இது ஒட்டுமொத்த ஈழத் தமிழர்களின் அரசியல் உரிமைகளை வென்றெடுப்பதற்காக உருவாக்கப்பட்ட முதுபெருங்கட்சியாகும். கடந்த பல மாதங்களாக இந்தக் கட்சியில் உட்கட்சி ஜனநாயகம் சிதைவடைந்து, சில நபர்களின் குழுநிலைவாதச் சர்வாதிகாரக் கையாள்கை தலைதூக்கியுள்ளது. இது போன்ற செயற்பாடுகள் எமக்கும், தமிழரசுக் கட்சியை நேசிக்கும் புலம்பெயர் தமிழ் மக்களுக்கும் மிகுந்த வேதனையைத் தோற்றுவித்துள்ளது.

முக்கியமாக, தமிழ் தேசிய கொள்கையின் அடிப்படையில் கடந்த சனாதிபதித் தேர்தலில் பொதுவேட்பாளராக 83 குடிசார் அமைப்புகள், 7 தமிழ் தேசியக் கட்சிகள், அனைத்துப் புலம்பெயர் அமைப்புகள், வடக்கு, கிழக்கு பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர் ஒன்றியம், முன்னாள் போராளிகள், தமிழீழ மக்கள் எல்லோரும் இணைந்து, தமிழ் தேசியக் கொள்கையின் அடிப்படையில், கடந்த சனாதிபதித் தேர்தலில், தமிழ் பொது வேட்பாளராகத் திரு.பா. அரியநேத்திரன் அவர்களை முன்நிறுத்தி, அந்த கொள்கைக்காக 2,26,343 தமிழ் மக்களின் வாக்குகளைப் பெற்று, தமிழ் தேசிய உறுதிப்பாட்டை நிரூபித்த, திரு.பா. அரியநேத்திரன் அவர்களை, 28/12/2024 அன்று நடைபெற்ற, தமிழரசுக்கட்சியின் மத்தியகுழுக் கூட்டத்தில் கட்சியில் இருந்து உத்தியோகபற்றற்ற முறையில் இடைநிறுத்தலாம் அல்லது விலக்கலாமெனக் கட்சியின் பேச்சாளர் திரு. சுமந்திரன் அறிவித்திருப்பது, தமிழரசுக் கட்சி, தான் வகுத்துக் கொண்ட, தமிழ் தேசியக் கொள்கைக்கு முரணாகச் செயற்படுகின்றதா? என்ற வலுவான சந்தேகத்தை எமக்கு ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

அத்தோடு, தமிழ் தேசியக் கொள்கை என்பது, இலங்கைத் தமிழரசுக்கட்சி ஆரம்பிக்கும்போது தந்தை செல்வா முன்வைத்த சமஷ்டிக் கொள்கையாகும். தமிழ் தேசியக் கொள்கையின் அடிப்படையில்தான், தமிழ் பொதுவேட்பாளர் சனாதிபதித் தேர்தலில் போட்டியிட்டு, காத்திரமான வாக்குகளைப் பெற்றிருந்தார். இதற்கு முரணாக, ஈழத் தமிழினத்தின் உரிமைகளை முன்னிறுத்தாமல், சலுகைகளுக்காக காலங்காலமாக இனவாதச் சிங்களக் கட்சிகளை, ஆதரிப்பதும், அதனை ஆதரிக்காத தமிழ்த் தேசியவாதிகளை ஓரங்கட்ட விளைவதும், வன்மையாகக் கண்டிக்கப்பட வேண்டிய விடயமாகும். முதலில் தமிழரசுக் கட்சியின் அடிப்படைக் கொள்கை, கோட்பாடுகளுக்கு முரணாக, மத்திய குழுவைச் செயற்படவைக்கும், உத்தியோகத்தர் சபை உறுப்பினர்களில் சிலரைக் கட்சியிலிருந்து விலக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கவேண்டும்.

அத்தோடு தமிழரசுக் கட்சியின் துணைப் பொதுச் செயலாளரும் பேச்சாளருமாகிய திரு.ம. சுமந்திரன் அவர்களால் கட்சியில் குழு நிலைவாதச் செயற்பாடுகள் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டு வருவதை நாம் அவதானித்து வருகின்றோம். முதல் கட்டமாக தனது துதிபாடிகளை வைத்து, கட்சியின் செயற்பாடுகளுக்கு எதிராக வழக்குத் தாக்கல் செய்து, கட்சியின் புதிய தலைமைத்துவத்தையும், கட்சியின் பொதுக் குழுவையும் கூட்ட முடியாதவாறு முடக்கினார். பின்னர் தமக்கேற்றவாறு மாவட்டக் கிளைகளை மாற்றியமைத்தார். மத்திய குழுவில் தான் விரும்புவதை அமுல்படுத்துவதற்குச் சாதகமான அறுதிப் பெரும்பான்மையை திட்டமிட்டுப் பெறுவதற்காக, மத்திய குழுக் கூட்டங்களுக்குத் தமக்கு வேண்டியவர்களுக்கு மட்டும் அறிவித்துவிட்டு, தான் எதிர்பார்த்தவாறு சர்வாதிகாரமாகக் கட்சியை வழிநடாத்தி வருகின்றார். இவற்றைத் தட்டிக் கேட்பதற்கு திராணியற்றவர்களாக, தற்போதைய பதில் தலைவர் திரு. சி.வி.கே.சிவஞானம் அவர்களும், தமிழரசுக் கட்சியின் மத்திய செயற்குழு உறுப்பினர்களும் இருப்பது, இந்தக் கட்சியின் வருங்கால இருப்புத் தொடர்பான பலத்த அவநம்பிக்கையை எமக்கு ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

இதுபோன்ற தான்தோன்றித்தனமான செயற்பாடுகள் தமிழரசுக் கட்சியில் திரு.சுமந்திரன் அவர்களால் தொடர்ந்தும் முன்னெடுக்கப்படுமாயின், கடந்த தேர்தலில் எவ்வாறு இவரைத் தோற்கடித்தோமோ, அதைவிட மோசமான தோல்விகளை எதிர்காலத்தில் இவர் சந்திக்க நேரிடும் என்பதை வினயமாகத் தெரிவிக்க விரும்புகின்றோம். அத்தோடு சகல புலம்பெயர் நாடுகளிலும் திரு.சுமந்திரன் அணியினரின் கட்சிசார் ஆதரவுச் செற்பாடுகளெதையும் எதிர்காலத்தில் செயற்படுத்த முடியாதவாறு, புலம்பெயர் தமிழ் மக்களால் முடக்கப்படும் என்பதையும் அழுத்தம் திருத்தமாக எச்சரிக்க விரும்புகின்றோம்.

Condemnation of Attempts to Oust Tamil Common Candidate Mr. P. Arianenthiran from the Illankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi (ITAK)!

The Illankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi (ITAK), one of the oldest Tamil political parties with decades of strong political tradition, has reached an unprecedented state of decline in its history. This party, which was founded to secure the political rights of all Eelam Tamils, is not the property of any individual or faction. Recent developments have severely eroded internal democracy, and authoritarian tendencies by a select few have come to dominate the party’s functioning. Such actions have caused deep anguish among us and the Tamil diaspora, who have always held the party in high regard.

It is critical to remember that 83 civil organizations, seven Tamil national parties, all diaspora organizations, the Northern and Eastern University Students’ Union, Tamil Eelam war veterans, and the Tamil Eelam people united under the Tamil National Principle to select Mr. P. Arianenthiran as the Tamil Common Candidate in the last presidential election. Running on this platform, he garnered 2,26,343 votes, demonstrating his steadfast commitment to Tamil nationalism.

The recent attempt to suspend or expel Mr. Arianenthiran, allegedly initiated by the party spokesperson, Mr. M. Sumanthiran, at the central committee meeting on 28/12/2024, raises grave concerns. Such actions suggest a deviation from the foundational principles of Tamil nationalism upon which the Illankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi (ITAK) was built.

The Tamil National Policy, articulated by Father Selva during the party’s founding, remains a collective aspiration of the Tamil people. It was under this policy that the Tamil Common Candidate contested the presidential election, securing significant support. Supporting Sinhalese racist parties for concessions while sidelining Tamil nationalists who remain committed to this vision is a betrayal of the party’s founding ethos and must be unequivocally condemned. It is imperative to address the actions of certain executive board and central committee members who have been steering the party away from its founding principles.

Of particular concern is the divisive and authoritarian behavior of Mr. M. Sumanthiran, the Assistant General Secretary and Spokesperson of ITAK. He has filed lawsuits to obstruct party activities, prevented new leadership meetings, manipulated district branches to serve personal interests, and selectively notified central committee members to secure decisions aligned with his agenda. Such actions demonstrate a dictatorial approach that threatens the unity, integrity, and mission of the party. The current inability of Deputy Leader Mr. C. V. K. Sivagnanam and other central committee members to address this crisis exacerbates the party’s challenges and raises serious concerns about its sustainability.

We must caution Mr. Sumanthiran that his self-centered and reckless actions will lead to further defeats, surpassing the setback he faced in the last election. Moreover, we assert firmly that all efforts by Mr. Sumanthiran’s team to garner support from diaspora communities will be strongly opposed and rendered ineffective by the Tamil diaspora.

The Illankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi (ITAK) must return to its founding principles, uphold its commitment to Tamil nationalism, and restore internal democracy to regain the trust and respect of the Tamil people.
